From awareness to practical action: our environmental and climate education method follows 6 stages, aligned with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
Every project follows a structured process to guarantee real, measurable results.
Socio-environmental assessment of the site. Involves analyzing the soil, slope, land-use history, presence of pests, and proximity to forest fragments that can help with seed dispersal.
Definition of intervention strategies. Determines whether to adopt natural regeneration, full-area seedling planting, or direct seeding, along with the choice of suitable native species, spacing and action timeline.
Execution of on-the-ground actions. Includes soil preparation (plowing, subsoiling, liming), fencing the area to keep out livestock, leaf-cutter ant control, and planting the seedlings.
Essential care for plant survival in the first years. Includes controlling grasses and invasive exotic plants, weeding around each seedling, topdressing fertilization, and replanting seedlings that didn't survive.
Periodic assessment of vegetation development. Using indicators such as tree height, ground cover area and individual density, we verify whether the area is evolving toward the desired ecosystem, allowing for course corrections.
